We live right on the edge of an area called Black Forest in Colorado Springs. Many of the homes are on acreage with barns and horses - a real country feeling.
Twice a year they host an Arts and Craft Show in their Community building.
My absolute favorite part of the show are the baked goods - breads, pies, cookies, jelly and honey from local bees. I have to get there early before they run out of cookies.
There are always lots of hand sewn items to select from - hot pads, aprons and quilts.
And of course silk flower arrangements and hand painted items. The whole show reminds me of a simpler time when handcrafted and baked goods were the norm in every home!
