HANGING BEAUTIES

I began this painting with wet paper and tried to get in as much of the flower shapes and leaves as I could, using strong paint and very little water. When everything dried, I used negative painting in the background to fully define the flowers and add definition to the petals. Makes me miss those southern gardens!
