The Creative Challenge was to paint something white and explore the different colors that can be used on something that is basically colorless. I painted this on crumpled rice paper, using alot of negative painting to create the white flowers. I used pastel shades of pink, blue and lavendar to shade the petals and add interest. I love leaving white areas in my watercolors whether snow, sky, flowers or just abstract shapes to create a little sparkle in the painting!
