Daily Painting Challenge - SOLITARY ROSE

The Daily Paintworks Challenge for this week was a photograph of a single rose. In the photo they posted the rose was a very dark red - I have always found reds hard to paint in watercolor so I made mine a dark pink - artistic license or the easy way out...
Again, mostly oil painters entered - may have the advantage over watercolor somewhat because they can layer light paint and high lights on top of dark colors - definitely fun to check them all out. Click Here to go to the site.
